I was asked if they could come and record us for the day during football coaching.
What caught their eye was the audience we worked with.
You see, when I set up my company ‘Explore Football’, there were a few other companies in North Wales also coaching football.
So I had to find a way in. I did this by creating a market for me to enter.
It was simple…. Work with under 6 ?
Everyone else was working with over 6 year-olds, so why not go in younger!
And that is how the business took off.
We had 9 locations across North Wales which resulted in us setting up a Holiday Camp for ages 4-11, often with 50, 60, 70 kids turning up.
What I am trying to say is that having a special target audience makes your marketing, your message, your service much easier.
You are not just another trainer in your area working with anybody and everybody.
You specialise in helping a certain type of person.
This can lead to you becoming the main person in your area that that type of person comes to.
